DESCRIPTION:
Nimesulide is an antipyretic & analgesic. Dicyclomine is an anti–spasmodic, having direct intestinal and other smooth muscle relaxant activity.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Nimesulide is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase so it inhibits synthesis of destructive prostaglandins and spares cytoprotective prostaglandins. Dicyclomine relieves muscle spasms and cramping in the gastrointestinal tract by blocking the activity of acetylcholine on cholinergic (or muscarinic) receptors on the surface of muscle cells.
INDICATIONS:
Spasmodic dysmenorrhea, gastrointestinal distress.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity, active peptic ulcer disease, asthma, moderate to severe hepatic impairment.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, epigastric pain, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, dizziness and skin rashes.

As prescribed by the physician.
WARNING:
Use of Nimesulide should ordinarily be restricted to 10 days. If longer clinical use is warranted, liver function test should be assessed periodically.
