Each capsule contains:
Diclonice is a combination of Diclofenac , a Phenylacetic acid derivative and Nimesulide is chemically 4-Nitro-2-Phenoxymethane Sulfonanilide. These acts as anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Both belong to the category of Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs).
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Nimesulide is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX), it inhibits synthesis of destructive prostaglandins and spares cytoprotective prostaglandins. Nimesulide appears to exert its effects also through a variety of other mechanisms and involves interference with the production action of mediators other than prostaglandins such as enzymes, toxic oxygen derivatives, cytokines, platelet activating factor and histamine. Diclofenac inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by interfering with the action of prostaglandin synthetase.
