DESCRIPTION:
Clob-GM is a skin ointment. A combination of Clobetasol Propionate, Miconazole Nitrate, Neomycin & Chlorhexidine Gluconate. Clobetasol Propionate is a highly active corticosteroid. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Miconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent. Chlorhexidine gluconate is an antimicrobial agent.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Clobetasol Propionate has topical anti-inflammatory activity. The major effect on skin is a non-specific anti-inflammatory response, partially due to vasoconstriction and decrease in collagen synthesis. Neomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Miconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes. Chlorhexidine is a bisbiguanide disinfectant which is effective against a wide range of vegetative gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

INDICATIONS:
Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, eczema and psoriasis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Long-term treatment of ulcerative conditions, rosacea, pruritus, presence of acute infections. Hypersensitivity.
