DESCRIPTION:
Ofloxacin is a synthetic chemotherapeutic antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone drug class considered to be a second-generation fluoroquinolone. Beclometasone dipropionate is a potent glucocorticoid steroid. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. Lignocaine is a common local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic drug.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Ofloxacin functions by inhibiting DNA gyrase, a type II topoisomerase, and topoisomerase IV, which is an enzyme necessary to separate replicated DNA, thereby inhibiting bacterial cell division. Clotrimazole acts against the division and growing of fungi by altering the permeability of the fungal cell wall and inhibits the activity of enzymes within the cell. Beclomethasone dipropionate is used to prevent and treat seasonal and year-round allergy symptoms by reducing swelling (inflammation) in the ear passages. Lignocaine alters signal conduction in neurons by blocking the fast voltage gated sodium (Na+) channels in the neuronal cell membrane that are responsible for signal propagation.

INDICATIONS:
This medication treats allergic and inflammatory ear conditions.
