DESCRIPTION:

Calcium citrate:
Calcium citrate is the calcium salt of citric acid. Unlike calcium carbonate, which is essential and neutralizes stomach acid, calcium citrate does not affect stomach acid. Individuals sensitive to antacids or having difficulty producing adequate stomach acid should choose calcium citrate over calcium carbonate for supplementation. Calcium citrate is used to prevent and treat calcium deficiencies. It can be taken without food.

Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol is much more than a vitamin. It is the precursor of calcitriol, one of the most potent hormones. As a hormone, it affects development and health from conception to the end of life. It promotes calcium absorption and functions for healthy teeth and bones, prevents loss of bone mass, and treats bone disorders.

Magnesium Sulphate :
Magnesium is essential for the formation of strong bones and healthy teeth, the transmission of nerve signals, and the contraction of muscles. It activates several enzymes and is essential in converting blood sugar into energy. It also helps regulate the body’s temperature.

Lysine Hydrochloride:
Lysine is vital for proper growth and is essential in producing carnitine, a nutrient responsible for converting fat into energy. Lysine also assists in the repair of muscle cells, strengthening the immune system, and promotes the secretion of several hormones, including growth hormone.

INDICATIONS:
Low calcium levels such as bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia/rickets), decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), and certain muscle diseases (latent tetany).

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Trucal is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any ingredients in the preparation and patients with abnormal kidney functions.
