Composition
Each 5ml of reconstituted suspension contains:
Cefixime Trihydrate U.S.P.
Equivalent to Anhydrous Cefixime 100 mg
Indications
Indicated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections affecting the ear, nose, throat, respiratory tract, urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, skin, and soft tissues. It is also used in the treatment of uncomplicated typhoid fever in children and adolescents.
Storage
Store at room temperature, away from light.
Precautions
Use only as directed by the physician. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cefixime, cephalosporins, or any component of the formulation. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of penicillin allergy, kidney impairment, or gastrointestinal disorders. Concomitant use with live vaccines, antacids, H2 blockers, probenecid, nephrotoxic drugs, warfarin, or oral contraceptives may affect treatment outcomes. Complete the full prescribed course of therapy.
