Metrofur Plus Tablets

Metrofur Plus combines Metronidazole and Loperamide to treat bacterial or protozoal diarrhoea, dysentery, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Composition

Each uncoated tablet contains:

Metronidazole I.P. 200 mg
Loperamide Hydrochloride I.P. 1.5 mg

Indications

Diarrhoea or dysentery of bacterial, protozoal, or mixed origin, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Storage

Store in a cool place. Protect from direct sunlight.

Precautions

Metronidazole has been shown to be carcinogenic in mice and rats; unnecessary use of the drug should be avoided. Use with caution in patients with liver impairment and avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.
