Benzalkonium Chloride Solution (Preservative) I.P. 0.01% w/v

In a buffered aqueous solution.

Indications

Indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and the common cold. Helps relieve symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, and sinus discomfort.

Storage

Store in tightly closed containers. Protect from light and moisture.

Precautions

As advised by the physician. Contraindicated in children below 6 years of age, in persons allergic to oxymetazoline or any other ingredient of this medicine, in those who have undergone recent trans-nasal surgery, in patients suffering from narrow-angle glaucoma, or in chronic nasal inflammation with very dry nasal passages (rhinitis sicca or atrophic rhinitis). Should not be taken with imipramine, desipramine, amitriptyline, ergonovine, ergotamine, dihydroergotamine, linezolid, selegiline, or tranylcypromine.
