Torque'S Glimtor M2 Tablets

Torque’s Glimtor M2 Tablets contain Metformin, a biguanide with antihyperglycaemic effects, lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose and Glimepiride, a sulphonylurea antihyperglycaemic agent acts mainly by stimulating insulin release from pancreatic beta cells.

Each uncoated bilayered tablet contains:

Metformin Hydrochloride (As Prolonged Release) I.P. 500 mg
Glimepiride I.P. 2 mg
Excipients q.s.

Indications

Indicated for the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise, and treatment with a single antidiabetic agent do not provide adequate glycemic control.

Storage

Store protected from light & moisture at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Precautions

Avoid use in patients with severe renal impairment, metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic pre-coma, hepatic insufficiency, acute alcohol intoxication, alcoholism, insulin-dependent diabetes, or hypersensitivity to metformin, glimepiride, sulphonamide derivatives, or any component of the formulation. Monitor for hypoglycaemia and symptoms of lactic acidosis, and inform the physician about all concurrent medicines.
