DESCRIPTION: Diclofenac Dimethylamine, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate and Menthol Gel is indicated in adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over as anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent in the treatment of:
• mild to moderate muscle pain
• contusions
• post-traumatic pain
COMPOSITION:
Diclofenac Dimethylamine BP 1.16% w/w
Equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium 1.0 % w/w
Linseed Oil BP 3.0 % w/w
Methyl Salicylate BP 10.0% w/w
Menthol (Levomenthol) BP 5.0% w/w

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Diclofenac Dimethylamine and Menthol are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Linseed Oil is a plant-based oil which further reduces inflammation and improves blood circulation at the site of application. It also increases the penetration of Diclofenac Dimethylamine through the skin. Methyl Salicylate produces a cooling effect on the skin.
THERAPEUTIC INDICATION: Diclofenac Dimethylamine, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate and Menthol Gel is indicated in adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over as anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent in the treatment of:
• mild to moderate muscle pain
• contusions
• post-traumatic pain
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients used in the formulation.
• Patients with or without chronic asthma in whom attacks of asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis are precipitated by acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
• The use in children and adolescents aged less than 14 years is contraindicated.
• Third trimester of pregnancy.
• Patients with renal impairment.
ADVERSE REACTIONS: Skin Irritation, Itching, Redness, and Burning Sensation at the Application Site.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: As directed by the physician.
STORAGE: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30ºC. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Replace the cap tightly. Keep out of reach of children.
