DESCRIPTION:
Paracetamol is a para-aminophenol derivative, that has analgesic and antipyretic properties and weak anti-inflammatory activity. Diclofenac Sodium, a phenylacetic acid derivative is an NSAID that has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine used in the treatment of allergies, hay fever, angioedema, and urticaria. It is a major metabolite of hydroxyzine and a racemic selective H1 receptor inverse agonist. Magnesium Trisilicate neutralizes the stomach acid.

COMPOSITION:

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Paracetamol and Diclofenac work by the inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX). It works by affecting chemicals in the body called prostaglandins. Paracetamol blocks the production of prostaglandins, making the body less aware of the pain or injury. Cetirizine competes with histamine for binding at H1-receptor sites on the effector cell surface, resulting in suppression of histaminic edema, flare, and pruritus. It crosses the blood-brain barrier only slightly, reducing the sedative side-effect common with older antihistamines. Magnesium Trisilicate increases the pH of gastric juice via a neutralization reaction. It also precipitates colloidal silica, which can coat gastrointestinal mucosa conferring further protection.

INDICATIONS:
Symptomatic relief from headache, body ache, sore throat, nasal congestion associated with common cold and flu.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity, active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Rash, upper gastrointestinal complications such as stomach bleeding.

DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.

CAUTION:
Overdosage of Paracetamol can cause kidney or liver damage.
