TORZYME SYRUP

Torzyme syrup is a combination of Fungal diastase with Pepsin and a group of B-Vitamins. Fungal diastase is a starch degrading enzyme used as an effective digestive aid and helps in the digestion of carbohydrates & starch in the diet into simple polysaccharides & sugar. Pepsin is a digestive Protease active at acidic pH, which degrades Protein into peptides & Amino acids. The combination of enzymes such as proteolytic (pepsin) and amylolytic (diastase) are used as appetite stimulants and help in digestive disturbance & impaired production of gastric juice. A collection of vitamins from the group of B vitamins acts as an energy booster.

WHY FUNGAL DIASTASE IN A SEPARATE BOTTLE?
The basic reason behind keeping Fungal diastase in a separate bottle is the difference in pH stability with Pepsin. Diastase has pH 6 and Pepsin has pH 4. If both the ingredients are kept in the same bottle the efficacy of pepsin and diastase is diminished. Once the diastase (part I) is added to the other bottle (part II), the final preparation should ideally be consumed within 10 days for maximum results.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Pepsin is an enzyme whose zymogen (pepsinogen) is released by the chief cells in the stomach and that degrades food proteins into peptides. Fungal diastase is a supplement. The combination of enzymes promotes the digestion of food. The combination of B vitamins assists the body to strengthen the immune system and functions as catalysts for reactions within the body.
