Aceclomac-SP Plus tablet is a medication combining aceclofenac and paracetamol for pain relief and inflammation, along with serratiopeptidase that aid in reducing swelling and promoting tissue healing.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Aceclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), specifically COX-2, which plays a role in the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemical messengers that contribute to pain, inflammation, and fever. By inhibiting COX-2 and reducing prostaglandin production, aceclofenac helps in alleviating pain and reducing inflammation. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic drug that is used to relieve mild-to-moderate pain and fever. It inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX) in the central nervous system, reducing the production of prostaglandins and providing analgesic (pain-relieving) and antipyretic (fever-reducing) effects. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme, helps in the breakdown of a protein (fibrin) which is formed as a by-product of the clotted blood at the site of injury. This action improve circulation and reduce the risk of abnormal blood clot formation. Serratiopeptidase exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting certain chemicals involved in the inflammatory process, helping to reduce swelling and pain. It also reduces edema (fluid retention) by facilitating the drainage of excess fluid from inflamed tissues.

INDICATIONS:
Aceclomac-SP Plus tablet is used to relieve pain and swelling in various conditions like muscle pain, joint pain, and postoperative pain. It effectively alleviates pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Aceclomac-SP Plus tablet is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the drug or any excipients from the dosage form.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Indigestion, Diarrhea, Loss of appetite
