Description: Cipromac-250 tablet is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic that effective against a wide range of bacteria.

Pharmaceutical Dosage Form: Tablet

Route of Administration: Oral

Composition: Each film coated tablet contains:

Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride I.P.

Eq. to Ciprofloxacin                              250 mg

Colour: Titanium Dioxide I.P.

Mechanism of Action: Ciprofloxacin is a second generation fluoroquinolone that is active against many Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria. It produces its action through inhibition of bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV.

Indications: Cipromac-250 tablet is commonly used to treat various bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, gastrointestinal infections, and certain types of sexually transmitted infections.

Dosage: As prescribed by the physician.

Storage: Store protected from light.

Presentation: 20 x 10 tablets

Side effects:

Nausea

Diarrhea

Redness or discomfort in eye

Bad taste in mouth

Abdominal pain

Contraindications: Cipromac-250 tablet is contraindicated in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones. It is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women, nursing mothers, or children, unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks.

Drug Interactions: Cipromac-250 tablet should not be taken with the following medications, supplements and foods due to severe side effects –

Antiarrhythmic

Diabetes medicine (Metformin, Sulfonylurea)

Theophylline

Warfarin

Dairy products

Medications or supplements containing Mg, Al, Ca, Fe or Zn

Duloxetine

Caffeine

Zolpidem

Tizanidine

Precautions: Cipromac-250 tablet should be used with caution in patients with a history of tendon disorders, seizures, or those with certain pre-existing conditions.
