DESCRIPTION:
Ciprofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone, a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Dexamethasone is a very potent and highly selective long-acting glucocorticoid.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Ciprofloxacin functions by inhibiting DNA gyrase, a type II topoisomerase, and topoisomerase IV, enzymes necessary to separate bacterial DNA, thereby inhibiting cell division. Dexamethasone acts by controlling the rate of synthesis of proteins important for chemotactic and immunologic reactions and suppresses inflammatory responses.
INDICATIONS:
This medication treats only bacterial eye and ear infections.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, any member of the quinolone class of antimicrobial agents, or any of the product components.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Eye discomfort, itching, redness, tearing, eyelid crusting, feeling as if something is in your eye, blurred vision, a bad taste in your mouth, or sensitivity to light may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Ciprofloxacin interacts with other drugs, herbal and natural supplements, a characteristic it shares with other widely used antibacterial drugs such as amoxicillin, trimethoprim, azithromycin, cephalexin, and doxycycline.
WARNING:
1. If irritation persists or increases, discontinue the use and consult the physician.
2. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface as this may contaminate the solution.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.
DIRECTIONS:
Use the solution within one month after opening the container.
Do not use it if the solution contains particles/suspended matter.

Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from light.
