MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Dextromethorphan suppresses cough by central action on the cough centre in the medulla. Guaiphenesin helps to thin and loosen mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough up the mucus. Ammonium Chloride is the expectorant that thins mucus. Chlorpheniramine competitively antagonizes histamine at H1 receptor sites.
INDICATIONS:
Coughs and upper respiratory tract symptoms, including nasal congestion, are associated with allergy or the common cold.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the product; severe hypertension; ventricular tachycardia; severe coronary artery disease; chronic bronchitis; as a treatment for lower respiratory tract conditions including asthma; during an asthma attack; newborns or premature infants; breast-feeding women.
WARNING:
Do not exceed recommended dosage.
