MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Dextromethorphan suppresses cough by central action on the cough center in the medulla. Guaiphenesin helps thin and loosen mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough up the mucus. Ammonium Chloride is the expectorant that thins mucus. Chlorpheniramine competitively antagonizes histamine at H1 receptor sites.
INDICATIONS:
All types of cough, common cold, bronchitis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to ingredients of the product; severe hypertension; ventricular tachycardia; severe coronary artery disease; chronic bronchitis; as a treatment for lower respiratory tract conditions including asthma; during an asthma attack; newborns or premature infants; breast-feeding women.
WARNING:
Do not exceed recommended dosage.
