MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Protein Hydrolysate helps amino acids to be absorbed by the body more rapidly than intact proteins, thus maximizing nutrient delivery to muscle tissues. Ferrous fumarate helps reduce the chances of getting gastro-intestinal problems which are usually associated with other iron salts. It has around 33% of elemental iron. The collection of vitamins from the group of B vitamins (B1,B2,B3,B5,B6,B12) acts as an energy booster. Panthenol is the alcohol analogue of pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and is thus a provitamin of B5. Folic acid is a form of water-soluble vitamin B9 and is a key factor in the synthesis of nucleic acid (DNA & RNA). It is vital for the production of healthy red blood cells.
INDICATIONS:
Iron deficiency anaemia, pregnancy anaemia, lactation, loss of appetite, general weakness and convalescence.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity, Panthenol is contra-indicated in haemophiliacs and in patients with ileus due to mechanical obstruction. Iron-containing preparations are contraindicated in the presence of haemochromatosis, hemosiderosis and haemolytic anaemia.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Flushing, vomiting, transient headaches may occur due to the presence of niacinamide.
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not exceed the recommended dosage as certain vitamins exert toxicity in massive doses.
